The Summer School provides students with a thorough introduction to experimental methods. Instructors from CESS and beyond will cover different modules and two exceptional lecturers with varied research backgrounds will give talks on topics related to social science experiments. Students will have the opportunity to work with the popular experiment programming software oTree, and present their own work for discussion and feedback.

From 6 to 11 of May, Nuffield College will held the Strategic Leadership Course, which aims to help the participants to develop themselves as a leader as well as implement leadership in their organisation.

The course covers the design, implementation, and analytic tools necessary for conducting social science experiments. Lectures will cover topics including causal inference and experimental design, econometric analysis of experimental data and topics related to lab, field and online experiments.

The 2017 Nuffield CESS/Essex Experimental Summer School will be held in Oxford, in conjunction with the University of Essex. At the moment we have scheduled one session for this year, which will take place from June 26 to July 7. Depending on demand, there might also be a second session.
